EP 01 Malcolm Clarke
In 1980s, aiming to collect materials for a documentary, Malcolm Clarke paid the first visit to China. Afterwards, he experienced a 9-month 'adventure' in China, and irrevocably fell in love with this country.

40 years have witnessed such achievements of Malcolm as 4 Oscar nominations, 2 Oscars, and 16 Emmy Awards. But early experiences were always drawing him to feel the vibe of China. 

Since 2013, Malcolm has focused on the changes in China. As for him,  ‘the rise of China’ or ‘the renaissance in China’ is arguably the biggest ongoing news story of the 21st Century.

    Molcolm, you missed Shanghai from 1949-1979, and ordinanry Shanghai person can not live in Peace Hotel
    those communist days. I was a Shanghainese from 1941
    to 1954.
